On Thursday we welcomed our third daughter into the world. Betty Rosella is a miracle who tears open my heart. I will never be able to love her enough so my complete dependence on Christ is again revealed to me. Oh how I need Him, for me and for my daughter.
Mom and baby are doing well.
Betty, my mother, was killed in a car accident by a sleeping driving when I was 4, my daughter is named after her. Every time I say my daughter’s name I’m reminded of my inability, in front of her destiny, to sufficiently love her so I beg Christ to come to her, that she can have true joy and know how valuable her existence is. Rosella is Jill’s grandmother, whom we love dearly and was a spiritual guide for us in persistence and consistence.
Finally, my heart is broken because my daughter Betty will never know her grandfather, my father, Leland in this life. My father died of pancreatic cancer 14 months ago. I miss his phone calls, awkward hugs, and willingness to love and help very much, but I truly have a spiritual closeness to him now that wouldn’t be possible with both of us constrained by flesh. He’s free now and his closeness is now constant in spirit. It is amazing how much he loves this little girl, Betty.
Beyond breath taking are your words and your images! As a fellow follower of Christ, I too, am amazed each and every day at His mercy and love. God Bless you Tim as you embark on a this life with house full of beautiful women!
