What do I say about Amy and Jim. I mean I could say they are “good people”, but man that is generic, so I’ll skip saying it even though they really are.
Perhaps instead…
you know those people in your life (maybe it is just me, but I doubt it) who you have an intuition that you’d be great friends with but circumstances arise in a way that keep you from becoming great friends. It’s not that you are not friends because you are, but the potential friendship is more than is realized. That’s Jim and Amy to me personally.
More and more this is my experience with everybody I meet. I know that sounds like hyperbole, but it is not. When my eyes and heart are open, which isn’t as often as I’d like but is as often as I can bare it, I see the beauty in every person and especially in every relationship.
Jim and Amy have a beautiful relationship. It is not just affection, even though affection is very present, but it is also sacrifice which can feel like the opposite of affection at times. This true love is beautiful and attractive and it makes me want to be around these people.
I hope in these images you can see both their affection and their sacrifice and therefore the beauty of their relationship. Most of all I hope Jim and Amy see it when their memories fail them for a moment to remember the gifts they really are to each other.
