One of the challenges of being a photographer is that our vision creates a niche for us, where clients look for us, where our vision most strongly resonates. For me this is joyful, authentic, beautiful wedding photography and I absolutely love this niche that I’ve built. The challenge is in the fact that we photographers can easily get trapped into this niche and then our work and our vision ceases to grow and expand. The two rules I have for this project are: one, every image must be made with my iPhone, two, I must make one and only one image a day. Working with a new tool (iPhone vs 21 mpixel dslr) and forcing a deadline (every day) pushing my vision.
