FAQ

Who will be shooting on my wedding day?

I (Tim) will be shooting your wedding.  I shoot alone for one main reason: I want my working at your wedding to be the least distracting as possible.  The more people I bring, the more distraction I bring. If you are interested in a second shooter, please let me know and I can arrange for one.

What are personal reproduction rights?

Your full resolution image files come with full personal reproduction rights. This mean you can make prints, put them on Facebook, Twitter, make books, etc. What you cannot do nor give permission to other to do is use your images for any type of commercial use. Examples would be vendor websites, brochures, advertisements, etc.

How long have you been a photographer?

I’ve been shooting professionally for six years. It has been my full time employment for five.

How many weddings have you photographed?

I’m set to photograph my 100th wedding in 2011! Super excited.

What's in your camera bag?

Having good tools that are competent to the job is very important. I maintain current photographic equipment in order to provide my clients the best technology has to offer. At the same time, I always keep in mind that cameras are tools and ultimately the photographer makes the image. This is why it is equally important for me to always be pushing myself artistically and technically through education. Here’s my current gear list.

Digital

  • (2) Canon 5d Mark 2′s
  • Canon Primes: 24mm, 35mm, 50mm, 85mm
  • Canon Zooms: 24-70, 70-200
  • (4) Canon 580 EX Strobes
  • Lots of Sandisk CF Cards

Film

  • Mamiya 645 Pro
  • Mamiya Sekor 80mm 1.9C
  • Canon Eos A2E
  • Kodak Portra 160 & 400

Back-up equipment?

Absolutely! I could shoot an entire wedding with my back-up equipment and nobody would know the difference.

Can my guests take photo's at my wedding too?

Absolutely!  It is your wedding day.  The only time it becomes a problem is if a guest prevents me from doing my work. In these cases I simply ask the guest to refrain until I can accomplish my work then they are free to shoot away.

How many images will we receive?

The short answer is 350-500. The long answer—if you’re interested in the way I photograph your wedding—is that every single wedding I’ve every photographed is culminated in the very best 60-80 images in the wedding album. My goal on your wedding day is to communicate the love of your day and the story of your wedding. I do this through your wedding album. If you add in the family portraits that are ordered as prints, the total comes to 90-100 images from your wedding day that really tell the story and will become family heirlooms. What matters to me, my goal for your wedding, is that you absolutely love these 80-100 images.
